Firefighters rescue three foxes trapped in empty pond

Firefighters from the Alicante Provincial Firefighters Consortium saved three foxes trapped inside an empty pond in the municipality of Mutxamel on Monday, 31st August.

The animals had fallen to the bottom of the installation, which contained no water. According to details shared by the emergency service on social media, firefighters installed ropes and ladders to reach the trapped animals and carefully carry them out to safety.

Following the successful operation, all three foxes were retrieved unharmed and taken to a local species recovery centre for care and assessment. The emergency service described the outcome as a happy ending to the story.
