Torrevieja Town Hall, through the Department of Youth, has opened the application period for local municipal grants aimed at university students for the 2025/2026 academic year. Following the official publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante (BOP), the local government has allocated a maximum total fund of 200,000 euro to support local students.
Individual grants of up to 1,500 euro will be awarded to help cover essential costs connected to higher education. Eligible expenses include university tuition fees, textbook purchases, and daily commuting costs on intercity public transport, such as habitual bus or train journeys taken between 1st September 2025 and 30th June 2026 to reach university campuses. Criteria such as household income, academic performance, and travel distance to the university will be considered.
Applicants have ten working days starting from yesterday, Tuesday, 1st September to submit their forms. Submissions can be completed in person at the General Register of Torrevieja Town Hall or online via the municipal electronic office.
