The countdown is in its final stretch as Orihuela prepares to host the second edition of the Tardeada Orihuela festival this weekend, on 18 and 19 September. Taking place once again at the Recinto Ferial Los Huertos, the event looks to establish its position as a cultural focal point in the Vega Baja, featuring more than eleven hours of live pop, indie, and electronic music that brings together emerging talent, prominent national artists, and international performers.
Festivities will begin on Friday with an opening day offering completely free entry to the public. Proceedings start with a children’s show and bouncy castles for younger visitors between 19:00 and 22:00. The evening entertainment will follow with performances from Melifluo and Pepe Bernabé, before concluding with a DJ set from Arnicoco running until around 02:00.
Saturday’s full line-up commences at 16:00 with Trompas de Elefante, who earned the opening slot on the main stage after winning the public vote in the La Ruta de la Banda competition, an initiative established to promote emerging musical talent.
The afternoon continues at 17:00 with renowned Spanish pop act Funambulista, followed by Glaziar at 18:00 and Samuraï at 18:40. Deuve takes the stage at 19:40, leading into singer-songwriter Xoel López at 20:20.
As night falls, the energy will pick up with a session from Solar DJ at 21:20, preceding the Zahara Rave performance at 22:00. Guitar band Karavana will perform at 23:00, before Álvaro de Luna steps up at 23:50.
The early hours of Sunday morning will see Amatria blend electronic and pop influences from 01:00, setting the stage for British headliners Crystal Fighters at 01:50. The night will conclude with Juanca Supersub DJ Set, presented by the drummer of Supersubmarina, starting at 03:05 and carrying the music through until late.
Alongside the uninterrupted musical programme across the weekend, the Los Huertos fairground will also feature a dedicated food truck zone and social spaces designed for visitors to spend the day and enjoy the festival atmosphere.
