The Local Government Board in Elche has formally approved the granting of 141 individual honours to recognise the ongoing work and dedication of members of the Local Police force.
As part of the decision, the council agreed to award the Silver Medal for Police Merit to 84 officers, inspectors, and senior officials. These medals recognise extended professional careers as well as specific instances of service where personnel exceeded the strict call of duty.
In addition to the silver medals, 57 official diplomas will be presented to other officers within the force in recognition of outstanding individual actions during various police operations.
Juan de Dios Navarro, serving as spokesperson for the Local Government Board and councillor for institutional relations, highlighted that these awards reflect formal institutional appreciation for the dedicated work carried out by the Local Police across Elche.
The total of 141 accolades will be officially presented on 27th September during the annual celebration held to mark the patron saint’s day of the Local Police.
