ORIHUELA ROAD BRIDGE CLOSING AGAIN

Diversions in place

The access road which runs under the railway line at the Bigastro end of Orihuela will be closed again on Wednesday, after the school run, to enable work to continue on improving the area in preparation for the arrival of the high speed train.

It is not yet clear for how long the closure will be in place, but diversions are in operation with signs controlling the flow of traffic into and out of the city.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
