The Civil Guard has opened an investigation into the death of an elderly British man after they were called to a house fire in Almoradi on Monday afternoon.
According to Guardia Civil sources the deceased is thought to be a 73 year old British citizen who’s death was due to a violent action which occurred prior to the fire.
The body was found by firefighters moments after entering the house located at number 5 de la avenida de Daya Nueva, in Almoradi.
They say that the body was found slumped on a settee located in the living room which is thought to be the source of the fire.
