The devastation in the Philippines caused by Typhoon Haiyan last November has dropped out of the headlines, but the massive relief effort is expected to carry on for years.
Typhooon Haiyan, has left large parts of the country devastated with untold dead and millions without access to food, water, shelter and other basic necessities.
But out of sight doesn’t mean out of mind for lots of people. The Torrevieja Costa Lions Clubs are continuing to help rebuild the Philippines.
Local singer and songwriter Shani Ormiston has written a song especially about the disaster experienced by these poor people that need solidarity, with the collaboration of the producer Manuel Ortega.
This project is being supported by Torrevieja Costa Lions Club, who have already raised 8.000 euros for the worldwide campaign of LCI. There are many Lions Clubs in the Philippines lending aid and support and the Torrevieja Costa Lions Club intend to continue their support while still supporting many local projects.
This new single "Fill A Heart With Hope" by Shani, is available to download on CDBaby and iTunes for only 99 cents and all the money raised will go towards the needs of the Philippines.
Another option is to participate by making a donation for a coded card that will let you download the song into your computer and mobile devices.
