A new dining room is currently being constructed at the Colegio Público Inmaculada in Torrevieja where, last Tuesday, t the site was the subject of a council visit by the Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolon, along with the Councillor for Education and Youth, Rosario Martínez Chazarra, and the centre’s director, María José Monedero.
The new dining hall is set on an area of 182 square meters, and will serve 150 students in two shifts of 75 students each.
Funding for the Project, which began 15 months ago, is being provided by the Generalitat Valenciana. The current investment is approximately 50,000 euros, although the costs of the equipment, ovens, hot plates, furniture, is still to be added.
The mayor said that it was expected to complete during the next 2 or 3 months and would be put in service in time for the next academic year starting in September.
