The Las Salinas Freemason Lodge has gone from strength to strength since it was formed a decade ago and has raised 2000€ a year to a variety of charities.

This year (2014) 860€ has been donated to Outreach for the purchase of meat to fill their freezers and 1000€ to Aliemientas Solidarios (dubbed The Soup Kitchen) for the purchase of milk and other essential supplies to further their good work amongst poor and hungry in Torrevieja.

La Siesta Park and Torrevieja Pump Track Walk Around
The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
