The Royal British Legion Legionnaires Bowls Group didn’t have room for its members’ buckets and spades when it embarked on a (full) coach trip down to Mojacar recently.
Instead the selected team from the Group went with their bowls gear and plenty of supporters in preparation for the planned friendly match against the local team there, The Indalo Bowls Club.
Unfortunately the result was not as bright for The Legionnaires as the weather, with Indalo coming out the decisive overall winners. The rink results were 3 draws, 4 wins to Indalo and 1 win to the Legionnaires; despite that a most enjoyable weekend was had by all.
Particular thanks go to the members of San Luis Bowls Club who made up the numbers and Allan and Dianne Budd for making all the arrangements.
