Although much is often said about the increase in low cost airlines at Alicante-Elche airport, VIP services have also been increasing, up 80% since 2011.
In just four years, the VIP lounge has increased its clients from 45,416 in 2011, to 80,090 in 2014, and in the first half of this year alone, some 40,665 users.
Almost half of the people who use the VIP lounges are from the UK, at 49%, followed by 14% Spanish and 9% Norwegian.
The price to be amongst the growing elite set is just 26,50€ for adults, half price for children, and kids under 3 are allowed in for free, if accompanied.
