Swimmer Rescued at Playa del Cura

A swimmer was rescued from the sea at the Torrevieja beach of Playa de Cura on Friday, showing signs of having suffered cardiopulmonary arrest, unconscious and with signs of drowning.

The lifeguards rescued the swimmer at around noon, who were then joined by a paramedic ambulance, with rescuers managing to revive the elderly man at the scene.

Once stable, the man was taken by ambulance to Torrevieja hospital for further treatment.
