Torrevieja’s councillor for culture, Domingo Pérez, has announced the program dedicated to the Day of the Library, 2018.
The Carmen Jalón Municipal Library will receive attendees in its courtyard on October 24 with activities aimed at all audiences.
Starting at 6 p.m., the program begins with a musical opening by the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Torrevieja, with works by M. Mangani, Tchaikovsky and Stamitz interpreted by the musicians J. Garres Pérez and Natalia Khomyak.
At 6:30 p.m., the new publication by the writer Hugo Valero Muñoz will be presented, “Pajarito”. Coming from San Miguel de Salinas, he is also a bassist in several Spanish orchestras and will speak about his psychological thriller with Pelayo Mellado.
Finally, there will be a dramatization by La Cueva de Melpomene of the work of R.L. Stevenson, “The strange case of Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde”, one of the most successful works by the writer.
Torrevieja, which has three public libraries, the Carmen Jalón Municipal Public Library, the Diego Ramírez Library and another one in Torrelamata, has been celebrating this cultural day every year.
