If you haven’t heard of Spoon Week yet, you have missed out on one of the most popular gastronomic events in Torrevieja, now set to celebrate for the sixth time from Monday 5 to Sunday 11 November, 2018.

Think beans, pulses, stews, think winter-warmers, think those perfect dishes granny (or the male equivalent) used to make, that’s what Spoon Week, or Semana de la Cuchara 2018, to give it it’s slightly more romantic sounding name, is all about, as traditional dishes are served by participating venues belonging to the hospitality association.

Spoons are provided, all you have to do is tuck in and enjoy the traditional local and national dishes on offer.

Here you have a real-time walk around the new La Siesta park in Torrevieja, which also features the Torrevieja Pump Track. The video includes metrics so you can see the speed, pace and direction, and get a feel for what to expect. There are various sports fixtures, picnic area, dog agility park, and pathways, so you really should pay a visit. There is a lack of shade though, so if you're going on a sunny day, wear a hat and take precautions. La Siesta Park and Torrevieja Pump Track Walk Around
The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
