Various Street Closures on Monday for the Cycle Race in Torrevieja

On Monday 1 May, a national holiday celebrating workers, there will be various streets closed in Torrevieja for a cycle race, the time trial stage of the la Vuelta Ciclista femenina.

There will be parking restrictions and closures covering some 20 streets in the town, with parking prohibited between 10:30 and 14:30.

The test will affect the start at Avenida Monge y Bielsa (near the Ciudad Deportiva), Delfina Viudes, Ronda Ricardo Lafuente Aguado, Orihuela, Diego Ramírez Pastor, Urbano Arregui, Mar Menor, Desiderio Rodríguez, Gregorio Marañón, Ramón Gallud , Apolo, Cortes Valencianas, Baleares, Gran Canaria, Paris, La Mancha, Gabriela Mistral, Aeneas, Alfredo Nobel and Mariano Ruiz Cánovas, where the end will be.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
