Torrevieja Local Police Commence E-Scooter Clampdown

Following on from the start of their awareness campaign about the use of e-scooters, Torrevieja Local Police have started an enforcement campaign to clampdown on their dangerous misuse.

On Monday, several units of the Torrevieja Local Police carried out several checks on e-scooters, Personal Mobility Vehicles by classification, in different avenues and streets of the town.

This initiative is carried out to verify that these vehicles were circulating correctly, and their technical conditions have not been altered.

Likewise, drivers were informed of the recently approved regulations in Torrevieja that regulate the use of this type of vehicle.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
