The Guardia Civil arrested a 44-year-old man in San Isidro, who lives in Murcia and has no criminal record, as the suspected drug trafficker in a crime against public health. The arrest was part of the Strategic Plan for Police Response to the Consumption and Retail Trafficking of Drugs in Leisure Areas, Places, and Premises.
The operation happened on February 11th, but it didn’t come to light until yesterday, Monday February 22nd, in the town centre. Agents from the Dolores Main Station saw a car parked with the boot open and a man acting suspiciously inside it.
The person got evasive when they saw the police, so the officers went ahead and identified him. When asked about the incident, he seemed unsure and gave responses that didn’t make sense. He couldn’t explain why he was there and kept saying that his trunk wasn’t open.

After they found him, they searched the car. Officers found a fabric bag with numerous pressed parcels wrapped in plastic inside the boot. Because there wasn’t a clear explanation of what was within, a little cut was made in one of them, which showed a white powdery substance with a distinct smell.
The reactive test showed that it was cocaine, and the person was detained right away.
The police took the detainee’s car and brought it to the Dolores Main Police Station for a more comprehensive examination. There, they found other goods stashed in another plastic bag. The total amount of cocaine seized was 15 packages, which weighed about 17 kilograms.
After the legal proceedings were over, the detainee was turned over to the right judicial body, which ordered his imprisonment for these actions.
