A minor has been intercepted by police after being detected travelling at 87 kilometres per hour. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the young driver tried to escape, triggering a police pursuit.
The incident took place in the Vega Baja area, where local police identified the speeding vehicle and signalled for it to pull over. Instead of complying, the driver continued on, attempting to evade officers.
Police eventually managed to bring the situation under control and stop the vehicle. The driver, confirmed to be underage, now faces the corresponding legal consequences for both the speeding offence and failing to obey police instructions.
Authorities have reiterated the importance of road safety and the serious risks associated with reckless driving, particularly involving individuals without a valid licence.
