The Consell has authorised the procurement of future concessions for the regular public road transport service between Costa Blanca and Valencia, and Torrevieja and Alicante. This move aims to strengthen mobility and improve connections between various municipalities within the Valencian Community. The contract will be formalised as a service concession lasting ten years with no option for an extension, allowing for the operation of two primary corridors: the Valencia to Benidorm connection (CV-301) and the Torrevieja to Alicante line (CV-214).
This contract is divided into two lots. The first lot covers the CV-301 line between Valencia and Benidorm, maintaining inter-provincial services between these two points while incorporating other significant tourist hubs such as Altea, Denia, Xàbia, Benissa, and Gandia. The geographical area for this service will include Altea, Bellreguard, Benidorm, Benissa, Calp, Denia, Gandia, Oliva, Ondara, Valencia, and Xàbia.
The second lot focuses on the CV-214 Torrevieja to Alicante line. This includes authorised traffic from outgoing concessions, specifically the CVA-002 between Callosa, Torrevieja, and Elche, and the CVA-090 between Orihuela and Alicante. The new line will maintain the functionality of current coastal routes but will improve connectivity with the provincial AVE high-speed rail network, the Alicante-Elche airport, and the Torrevieja hospital for residents and urbanisations along the coastal axis.
The geographical area for this second service will encompass Alicante, San Vicente del Raspeig, Santa Pola, Elche, Crevillent, Guardamar del Segura, Torrevieja, Pilar de la Horadada, Orihuela, Rojales, San Fulgencio, Catral, Dolores, Daya Nueva, Daya Vieja, Benijófar, and San Miguel de Salinas.
