A man has been arrested in Orihuela after allegedly assaulting another person and threatening them with both a firearm and a knife at a bank cash machine. The incident took place in the heart of the municipality when the victim was using the ATM and was suddenly approached by the assailant.
According to reports, the suspect brandished a pistol and a large knife to intimidate the victim, demanding money. During the confrontation, the assailant used physical force, resulting in an assault that left the victim shaken. Local law enforcement responded quickly to the scene after being alerted to the ongoing crime.
Upon arrival, officers managed to locate and intercept the suspect in the vicinity of the bank. During the search, police recovered the weapons used in the attack—a handgun and a knife. The man was immediately taken into custody and faces charges of robbery with violence and intimidation.
