A major industrial fire broke out on Saturday afternoon, 23rd May, in the municipality of Almoradí, damaging the interior of a warehouse and prompting a significant response from the emergency services.
The emergency services received an alert at around 1.30 pm regarding a blaze at a metalwork company located at number 4 Calle Holanda. The fire initially started amongst wooden pallets inside the compound before spreading into the building itself.
The Alicante Provincial Firefighters Consortium mobilised crews and specialist vehicles from five different stations to tackle the emergency. Firefighters from Almoradí, Orihuela, San Vicente and Torrevieja rushed to the scene to prevent the flames from spreading to neighbouring businesses within the industrial estate.

The emergency response team included a sub-officer, a sergeant, two corporals and nine firefighters. They utilised a fleet of urban and rural fire engines alongside water tankers to bring the situation under control.
Emergency officials confirmed that the fire was successfully stabilised by around 3.35 pm. Although the flames did breach the interior of the industrial building, the rapid and coordinated intervention of the crews successfully contained the damage and stopped the fire from spreading to adjacent properties. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
