This week, the Local Police in La Nucia incorporated two new motorcycles into their mobile fleet. These two new scooter-style motorbikes represent a renewal of the police fleet, which currently consists of 10 vehicles: six cars and four motorbikes. They are two highly versatile 350 cc scooters designed to move swiftly and efficiently around the municipality of La Nucia.
The presentation of the two new Local Police motorbikes was attended by Javier Burrueco, Chief Inspector of the La Nucia Local Police, Blas Alos, Local Police Officer, Serafin Lopez, Councillor for Public Safety, and Bernabe Cano, Mayor of La Nucia.
Speaking during the presentation, Bernabe Cano stated that the local government tries every year to improve the resources available to the Local Police so they can provide the best possible service to the public and improve the overall police response. He noted that the two newly acquired motorbikes are highly versatile, perfectly equipped, and are already being used by officers during their daily duties.
The acquisition of these two vehicles allows the Local Police to modernise their fleet with transport options that enable agile and efficient movement. This new delivery has enabled the department to replace two older motorbike units which had become heavily deteriorated due to their age and regular use.
The two 350 cc scooters are fully equipped with emergency priority lights and acoustic sirens, allowing officers to direct traffic and provide warnings about any incidents on the roads.
