A devastating fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon, 30th June, inside an industrial warehouse dedicated to manufacturing shower trays in the Alicante municipality of Aspe.
The fire started inside the building but quickly spread, reaching an adjacent mountainside area. This prompt development led to the mobilisation of a helicopter as an aerial resource to tackle the flames from above in the outdoor zone.
Fortunately, firefighters quickly brought the forest fire under control. However, firefighters continue to work on the warehouse located on Calle Algezar within the Tres Hermanas Industrial Estate.
Multiple crews have been working in the area since 6.48 pm on Tuesday afternoon to combat the blaze. The incident has generated a massive amount of smoke, creating a column that has been visible from several kilometres away.
