The Guardia Civil in Alicante has arrested eleven people, comprising eight men and three women aged between 25 and 50, who are suspected members of a criminal group dedicated to trafficking cocaine, marijuana and hashish in El Campello.
The operation, named ‘Geum’, has dismantled a drug trafficking network formed mostly by members of the same family. According to the investigation, the group used various properties across the municipality to store and distribute drugs.
Officers searched seven homes, three storage rooms, a commercial establishment and a poultry farm in El Campello. During the operation, authorities seized 683 grams of cocaine, 690 grams of marijuana and 23 grams of hashish.
Additionally, the Guardia Civil located 46,520 euro in cash, four vehicles, precision scales and handwritten notes allegedly related to drug sales.

One of the main discoveries occurred at the poultry farm searched by the Guardia Civil officers, where a hidden safe containing part of the seized cash was located. Furthermore, in one of the storage rooms, investigators also found a hydraulic press that was allegedly used to compact the drugs.
The investigation began in October 2025, after Guardia Civil officers in Alicante detected various points of sale for narcotics in El Campello. The enquiries allowed officers to identify the group and learn about the use of several properties to store and distribute the substances. It appears that the individuals under investigation also used third parties to rent some of the storage rooms.
Officers from the Investigation Area of the Guardia Civil of El Campello, the Local Police, and personnel from the USECIC of Alicante, Torrevieja, Valencia and Castellon participated in the operation, along with canine teams from Alicante and Valencia.
The eleven detainees are being investigated for alleged crimes against public health, specifically drug trafficking, and membership of a criminal group. After appearing in court, they were released with precautionary measures. The investigation remains open and the Guardia Civil does not rule out further actions.
