A woman was arrested in the early hours of Thursday, 27th July, in Torre de la Horadada by officers from the Pilar de la Horadada Local Police after driving at high speed in the wrong direction, posing a serious risk to road safety.
The vehicle was intercepted on a public road, and officers requested that the driver undergo breathalyser and drug tests. According to police reports, she refused to take them.
The situation escalated into a confrontation when the driver exhibited violent behaviour and assaulted the officers on duty, biting one of them during the incident.
The woman was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of several crimes, including reckless driving, refusal to submit to alcohol and drug tests, serious disobedience, and assault against law enforcement officers.
The Local Police highlighted that the intervention successfully stopped conduct that presented a severe danger to other road users.
