Urbanova beach, just south of Alicante, off the N332, is preparing to host the Alicante Beachvolley Fest on 29th and 30th August, combining top-level competition with an unmatched festive atmosphere.
The tournament will feature Senior and Under-15 promotional categories, bringing together dozens of teams ready to compete on the sand. The event follows a clear philosophy: “Volleyball, beach, music, and people wanting to have a good time. More than a tournament, an experience.”
Organisers have designed a competition format tailored for dynamic spectating right by the court:
- Saturday 29 August: Men’s and Women’s 2×2 competition (Silver and Gold categories).
- Sunday 30 August: Mixed 4×4 tournament (Silver and Gold categories).
One of the main highlights of this edition is the prize pool. The event will distribute a total of 1,000 euro in cash to the winners, with 600 euro allocated for Saturday’s tournament and 400 euro for Sunday’s competition. In addition, all participants will benefit from continuous refreshments during matches and will receive an official exclusive tournament t-shirt.
This major sporting event is jointly organised by Club Voleibol Elche and Marito Beach, made possible thanks to the collaboration of Alicante City Council, Playas de Alicante, and the Urbanova Neighbours’ Association.
Support from the local commercial sector and corporate brands has also been essential to making the event happen. The Alicante Beachvolley Fest features official sponsorship from Volabola, the official kit brand, alongside La Tahona de Fernando and El Pilon de la Negra, who will provide catering and food throughout the weekend.
