A woman has died following a road traffic collision on Saturday, 18th September, on the AP-7 motorway near the Crevillent exit. The fatal crash occurred after a vehicle struck another car that had broken down and stopped on the hard shoulder.
Emergency services received the call at 08:24 at kilometre marker 726 of the motorway. Four crews from the Elche and Crevillent fire stations were dispatched to the scene.
Healthcare personnel deployed an SAMU mobile ICU unit and a Basic Life Support unit. The medical team attended to a woman, whose age has not been disclosed, for multiple trauma. She was transferred to the General Hospital of Elche in a serious condition.
A 47-year-old man was also treated at the scene for multiple contusions before being transferred to the Vinalopó Hospital.
Emergency services confirmed the death of another woman, who was an occupant of one of the vehicles involved in the collision. Her age has not yet been released.
