A delivery driver for a frozen food company based in Santa Pola is facing a request for seven years in prison for an alleged continuous offence of misappropriation.
According to information provided by the High Court of Justice of the Valencian Community, the accused allegedly sold products from the company he worked for to his own clients for nearly two years, without the knowledge or consent of the company.
To allegedly conceal this activity, the man allegedly produced false delivery notes in the names of real clients of the affected company.
Using this system, according to the prosecution, the accused allegedly pocketed more than 386.000€ between 2016 and February 2018, when he was discovered.
The trial is scheduled to begin today, Tuesday 29th September, in the Seventh Section of the Provincial Court of Alicante, based in Elche, and will continue on October 6th and 10th.
