A man committed suicide on Monday at the Hospital La Fe de Valencia, minutes after requesting an organ donor card.
The man entered the transplant coordination centre at the hospital in order to donate blood, and requested the forms to become an organ donor, advising staff at the hospital of his intention to kill himself.
Staff at the hospital tried to reassure him and negotiate with the man, but he ended up shooting himself in the toilets at the hospital.
