Shoppers in Pilar de la Horadada can share in a bumper booty of gift vouchers, simply by spending more than 15 euro in participating stores in the Christmas period.
Councillor Aurelio Samper explained that the aim of the campaign is to “promote holiday shopping and local consumption in Pilar de la Horadada in these weeks of December”, whilst trying to raise awareness amongst the neighbours of the town that “Pillar de la Horadada is your best mall, where they can find the best quality at competitive prices and with the advantage of personalized attention and guarantees”.
With many local towns and retail outlets suffering as a result of the growth of larger shopping and commercial centres, this sort of promotion is seen as a lifeline to struggling businesses, whilst offering the shopper something back for their loyalty.
A list of participating stores is available from the town hall, but all shops display a sign stating they are part of the “El Roscón”. By spending more than 15 euro in the shops, you run the chance of winning a prize of 20, 50, 100 or 200 euro in vouchers on their roulette wheel of fortune.
