According to the Spanish National Statistics Institute, Spain has recorded the largest number of new companies created for six years. In 2014 a total of 94.152 new companies were created, a year on year increase of 0.8%.
In 2013 the number of new company registrations increased by 7.2%, and in 2012, 2011, and 2010, those figures were 2.8%, 6%, and 2.3% respectively. The previous three years showed a period of decline for the number of new companies registered in Spain.
