STEWART’S DOMINATE EUROPEAN DSSF CHAMPIONSHIPS

Adam and Lucy Stewart

Adam and Lucy Stewart were in action recently when they competed in the DSSF European Swimming Championships in Southampton last weekend.

Adam retained his 800 freestyle European Masters record with a silver medal adding a bronze in 100 butterfly. He also had 2 first places in the 25 freestyle and 25 butterfly ending the competition in great style with a gold medal in the 100 freestyle. He also had 2 PBs.

Lucy won a gold in the breaststroke smashing her time by a massive 7 seconds with a PB. She also achieved 2 PBs in the 25 freestyle and 25 breaststroke.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
