The Greatest Hits of Pop Opera will be echoing through the halls of the Torrevieja International Auditorium on Sunday, as Orfeón de Torrevieja to celebrate its XI anniversary.
The concert starts at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2018, with musical director Mario Ignacio Bustillo Martínez putting together a program that includes a musical journey that goes from the most famous arias and choirs of the operatic repertoire of Verdi, Puccini, Bizet and Gershwin to the most exciting hits of Abba, Beatles and Earth Wind and Fire, going through great successes of Ibero-American music, some brushstrokes of liturgical music, to “the beloved Havana people who identify us and accompany us wherever we go”, says María Jesús García, president of the entity.
The chosen arias will be delivered by the voices of María Jesús García (soprano), Antonio García Seva (tenor), Francisco Andreu Lafuente (tenor), Jorge Pacheco Marín (tenor) and Boris Zavodov (baritone). Garcia has described the concert as “a unique opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable evening full of the best music in the world.”
