The National Police have arrested a man and a woman in Alicante. They were both going to be kicked out of the country after serving their prison sentences.
The 26-year-old male from Panama had just gotten out of prison after serving time for severe crimes such as robbery with violence, injuries, abuse, threats, assault on police officers, resistance, and disobedience.
Police say he had 17 legal proceedings that were still open. The individual was rude and belligerent during his arrest and made threats over and over again.
Because he was so violent, a major police operation was set up to take him to Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport. Agents from the Prevention and Reaction Unit (UPR) were there to escort him back to his home country, which went well with no major problems.
One day later, another Venezuelan citizen was arrested in Alicante. She had been in prison in Spain for almost 20 years for drug trafficking and was also about to be kicked out of the country.
Both detainees are not allowed to enter Spain for five years.
The Unit Against Immigration Networks and Document Falsification (UCRIF) of the Provincial Foreigners Brigade has been in charge of the administrative and judicial steps for the expulsions. The UPR of the Provincial Citizen Security Brigade has also helped with this. Both groups are part of the Provincial Police Station of Alicante.
