The headquarters in Torrevieja for Suma is open again after being completely remodelled. The project has made the facilities more useful and long-lasting, and it has encouraged the use of digital technology, accessibility, and face-to-face service.
The second vice president and deputy for Finance, Marina Sáez, the agency’s director, José Antonio Belso, and the mayor of the municipality, Eduardo Dolón, have all been to the new office on Calle Patricio Pérez.
The refurbishment cost 455,000 euros. Suma has remodelled three offices as part of its Strategic Plan, the first two being in Elche-Carrús and Benidorm.
Plan for modernisation in the Valencian Community
In 2026, Suma wants to keep making its network more modern. More specifically, the offices in Orihuela, Almoradí, and Alfaz del Pi will be remodelled.
The Torrevieja office, which opened in 1993, is the oldest one in the whole network. It now has a more useful arrangement with separate places for client assistance and internal work, thanks to its 250 square metres. The office has also added the Suma Cadastral Unit, which used to be in a different location.
Better services for citizens and more environmentally friendly practices
The new design is all about making in-person, personalised service better. It also includes steps to make it more environmentally friendly and energy-efficient.
Some of the improvements are digital signs, shared printing systems to cut down on paper use, sound-absorbing panels and ceilings, and a better way to control the temperature. Also, there are now break rooms for employees and more private conference rooms for contributors.
Service in several languages and a personal touch
Marina Sáez says that the agency helps about 21,000 people each year. It also provides services in a number of languages, including English, German, French, and Russian.
José Antonio Belso, on the other hand, said that Suma is pushing digital channels while still offering services in person. The goal is to make sure that no older person is left behind and to make public services more personal. The phrase #SumaMasCercaDeTi (Suma Closer to You) shows how serious this promise is.
