The alert was received in the vicinity of Centenario Square and Calle Ibi at 2:40 a.m. In accordance with the report from the team that was mobilised to secure the area and suppress the flames, the operation continued until 6:30 a.m.
The fire originated in street furniture and was subsequently spread to three smouldering containers. Furthermore, the heat and flames caused damage to up to five vehicles that were located in close proximity to the fire.
Additionally, firefighters were required to intervene in two nearby residences, where they implemented mechanical ventilation to eliminate the smoke and pollutants that had accumulated subsequent to the fire.
The operation was conducted by a heavy urban fire engine, which was accompanied by four firefighters from the Cocentaina fire station and a corporal.
The operation concluded at 6:30 a.m., and no personal injuries were reported.
