The ten beaches in Pilar de la Horadada, which span nearly five kilometres of coastline, are now open to both residents and visitors who desire to take advantage of them during the Easter week. Lifeguard, sanitation, and cleaning services will be accessible for a period of ten days.
Beach cleaning crews will have already commenced the process of spreading and preparing the sand on the beaches of El Mojón, Las Higuericas, Las Villas, El Puerto, El Conde, Los Jesuitas, Rocamar, Del Río, Mil Palmeras, and Vistamar for the arrival of tourists, residents, and visitors before 10:00 a.m. each day during Holy Week. For twelve hours each day, they will be responsible for manually removing refuse, maintaining walkways, and emptying trash cans. Pedro Miguel Moya, the Councillor for the Environment, stated during the operation’s presentation that the beach cleaning machinery will operate in a manner similar to that of peak season.
Moya clarified that “a coordinator and six lifeguards will be responsible for monitoring the beaches of Villas-Higuericas, Conde-Jesuitas, and Mil Palmeras-Río from March 28th to April 6th (both inclusive) from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.” in relation to the lifeguard and rescue service on beaches during Easter 2026.
In addition, three lifeguard stations have been constructed, each equipped with a first-aid room, restrooms, an upper-level observation area, and an automated external defibrillator (AED). The service will also have access to a semi-rigid inflatable boat, a jet ski with a rescue stretcher, and an all-terrain rapid intervention vehicle (4×4) that are located at Mil Palmeras Beach. However, the location of the boat may be subject to change based on the number of beachgoers or other technical issues.
The beaches with lifeguard service, including Villas-Higuericas, Conde-Jesuitas, and Mil Palmeras-Río, will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from March 28th to April 6th (both inclusive). Additionally, toilets will be cleaned daily.

Pilar de la Horadada’s Beaches
Offering a diverse array of environments, the coastline of Pilar de la Horadada extends for nearly five kilometres. The blue sea is starkly contrasted by the extensive beaches of fine white sand, and small rocky outcrops that jut out into the water conceal secluded coves of golden sand. These beaches are secure for swimming, as they lack either steep drops or uneven terrain, making them suitable for young children. Additionally, the pure waters and exceptional visibility of these locations make them ideal for snorkelling and diving, enabling visitors to investigate the diverse biodiversity of the seabed.
