Autocares San Francisco SL has been awarded the contract by the Rojales Town Council to provide public transport services to the municipal market and the town centre for the next four years. The total cost of the contract, including VAT, is €65,807.39. The company was the sole bidder in the process.
The contract, which was executed through a simplified open procedure, is designed to simplify the process of transporting residents to the Thursday market and to the town center for shopping or running duties. It also includes the provision of a regular passenger road service.
The company offered a price of 59,824.9 euros without taxes, which was below the base budget of the tender, which was established at 70,382.24 euros without VAT (77,420.46 euros with taxes). The award was formalised on March 16th.
The service is particularly designed for the residents of the Ciudad Quesada urbanisation, where a substantial portion of the population is elderly or has mobility issues. Consequently, the transportation enables them to access the weekly market and the stores and services in the town centre.
The bus will make eight stops along the route, departing from Ciudad Quesada and arriving in Rojales at 9:15 and 10:30 a.m., as per the technical specifications of the contract. There will be two departures from the town to the residential area for the return voyage, at 12:00 and 1:00 p.m. These times may be adjusted to accommodate service requirements.
It is necessary for the vehicle to meet the accessibility requirements for individuals with reduced mobility and to have the necessary safety systems for passenger transport. The vehicle will have an approximate capacity of 55 seats.
The contract is expected to last for four years from the date of its formalisation and does not include any potential extensions.
