The Dénia City Council’s Office for Attention to Migrant People (Pangea) has set up two free basic Spanish courses for adults who live in Dénia and are not from Spain.
The A-1 level course will be held atla Casa de Cultura from May 4th to 15th, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

You must register for this level between April 14 and 24 using one of the following three methods:

In person at Calle Calderón, 1 – mezzanine F, on Wednesdays and Fridays, from 4p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
There can only be 20 pupils in each course. People who sign up for the course will obtain the resources they need and a certificate of completion.
Pangea is also putting on an A2-level Spanish course that will run for the first two weeks of June. We will post more information about how to register later.
Melani Ivars, the Councillor for Social Welfare, said that “promoting the learning of official languages, in this case Spanish, is a way to encourage the social integration of non-Spanish speaking migrants and helps to reduce communication barriers and bridge distances for a more enriching coexistence and the full development of migrants.”
