The Valencian municipality of Ontinyent recorded a set of seismic movements yesterday, Wednesday April 29th, the most violent of which reached 3.5 degrees on the Richter scale and was felt by the people, according to the National Geographic Institute (IGN).

The major earthquake occurred at 8:23 a.m. northwest of the town, at a depth of 7 km, and was felt throughout the municipality. But it was not the only one: the Valencian Meteorology Association (Avamet) recorded up to eight earthquakes during the day, most of them during the night and some of enough intensity to stir up the population.
The other early-morning quakes varied from 1.6 to 2.1 degrees in magnitude, Avamet data showed.
