The main advertising space on the front of Elche CF’s shirt is back on the market. The role of main sponsor for the Martínez Valero club has been held for the season just ending—and for the third consecutive year—by the firm VegaFibra, but the contractual relationship between the two parties does not extend past the end of this month.
This does not mean that the telecommunications operator, which belongs to the Avatel Telecom group and has a presence in the provinces of Valencia, Alicante and Murcia, cannot also be the main sponsor for the 2026/27 campaign, but that would have to be the result of a fresh negotiation.
The green-and-white entity is understood to have received a figure of around 600,000 euro from VegaFibra for the 2025/26 season. This sum is significantly higher than the amount obtained during the previous financial year, when the Elche first team competed in LaLiga Hypermotion. Promotion, therefore, made an impact in this regard, though perhaps not as much as the club at the Martínez Valero stadium had hoped. After negotiating with several firms, the club ultimately had two clear proposals on the table: a domestic option from VegaFibra, and an overseas bid originating from Asia. Elche opted for the former, which guaranteed a fixed income alongside additional amounts based on objectives. In return, the operator’s logo and the slogan “El Rey de la fibra” featured on the main space of the official shirts for both the men’s and women’s first teams. It also appeared on static and dynamic advertising at the Martínez Valero stadium, on the club’s website and on its two official buses (the one regularly used by the first team and the one serving Elche Ilicitano and, occasionally, the rest of the youth academy).
In recent seasons where the Elche first team has competed in LaLiga EA Sports, its main sponsors have been businesses with a local presence, but also with an outward projection, such as Gioseppo, TM Grupo Inmobiliario and the aforementioned VegaFibra. The latter’s logo has occasionally made way for its parent company, Avatel Telecom, during certain away matches for Elche.
In addition to providing direct financial backing to the green-and-white club, the telecommunications firm has supported the Federation of Elche CF Supporters’ Clubs (Peñas) in some of their activities. For instance, it signed an alliance with the Elche Sports Foundation to help boost local sport.
