Officers from the Local Police have arrested two individuals following an attempted burglary at a property in the Laborinquen neighbourhood of Javea.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, 16th June. Municipal sources confirmed that a local resident alerted the authorities after spotting suspects scaling a fence to gain entry to the property.
Upon arrival, police units discovered that the building’s metal door had been left open and the garage shutter showed clear evidence of having been forced. As officers approached the main entrance of the house, they surprised two people inside. Whilst one suspect initially fled the scene, they were located shortly after following a search of the surrounding area. Both individuals have now been taken into custody, and the necessary procedures for their arraignment have been completed.
The Local Police have expressed their gratitude for the public’s cooperation. They highlighted that such assistance is essential in preventing crimes like home burglaries, provided that information is reported promptly and effectively to the authorities.
