A minor earthquake occurred in the municipality of Los Montesinos early this morning, Tuesday 14th July 2026.
According to data recorded by the Instituto Geográfico Nacional, the seismic event took place at 05:09 UTC (07:09 local time). The epicentre of the tremor was located just to the southeast of Los Montesinos, at a latitude of 38.0138 and a longitude of -0.7139.
The earthquake registered a magnitude of 1.8 mbLg and was recorded at a shallow depth of 5.0 kilometres. No damage or injuries have been reported as a result of the minor tremor.
