MISSING PERSON – PLEASE HELP FIND LIZZIE

PLEASE HELP FIND LIZZIE

Friends and family of Jacqueline Elizabeth Reynolds, or Lizzie as she is known, are becoming increasingly concerned about her whereabouts, and have launched an urgent appeal for anybody who may have seen her or know about where she might be to get in touch.

Jacqueline Elizabeth Reynolds was born in the 13/12/69, and is described as 5'5" in height, of medium build, has blue eyes, dyed blonde shoulder length hair and has tattoos on both upper arms.

The family are asking for any information as to where she might be, or in the very least for her to contact her family or friends so they know she is safe and well and not been held against her will.

Lizzie left the UK to visit a male friend she had made acquaintance with via another friend from her home town, who also used to live in the Altea area of Spain. She is a mummy of 6 daughters, aged between 3 to 24, and long term partner of Richard, with whom she has been together for 16 years.

In a statement, they say we are all scared, deflated and so terribly frightened for her safety as she would never ever behave in such an irrational inconsiderate way causing distress to her family and friends, that's just not built into her fabric. She is so extremely kind considerate and compassionate this not returning home would just never happen if she was in control of her own actions she needs us to find her she needs our help she is most certainly in some sort of trouble. Here is something I put together about Lizzie and the events as they have happened.

The person she came to visit has told her he is in a wheel chair after an accident 5 years ago. This part of the information cannot be confirmed at the moment, but it is believed that he lives in Benidorm.

Lizzie left the UK for a believed 3 day visit to a friend in desperate need. She left on Wednesday 10/6/14 on the 10:10 flight from Bristol to Alicante, flight number EZY6071, and was due to return to the UK on Friday 13/6/14 on the 14:10 flight from Alicante to Bristol, flight number EZY6072.

Her partner Richard received a phone call the evening before she was due to come home, which was said to be a very happy positive phone call making her arrangements for her journey home where she was due to meet her friend at the airport in Bristol.

What was noticed about this call afterwards is that this call was not from her UK mobile number that she had taken with her but that it was from a Spanish mobile number.

Her disappearance has been reported to the UK police, and it is hoped that the Spanish authorities will soon get involved too. In the meantime, if you have any knowledge of her whereabouts, or have seen her in the Benidorm, Altea or general Costa Blanca area, please report the matter to the police immediately.

ALTEA TO INTRODUCE BEACH FOR DOGS

By Costa Blanca News
3rd April 2014
in :  Regional News

The La Vila submission collected more than 500 signatures on a web based petition while the Benidorm appeal currently exceeds 1,400 signatures.

Photos of dogs playing in the sand and enjoying the Mediterranean waters are rare indeed, certainly during the summer months when the legislation regarding their situation on the beach is strictly enforced, but all that may soon be changing, certainly in the Costa Blanca resort of Altea where, following a petition consisting of 150 signatures, and a further 161 gathered online, the introduction of a ‘dogs only beach' is being pursued by local resident Monika Klostermann.

The area that she is proposing for the enjoyment of dogs is adjacent to the chiringuito Arrecife de la playa de la Olla

Monika argues that it is an area of rocks which are filled with algae, adding that it is a part of the coastline that few swimmers use even in summer. "Every day there are many local residents who walked their dogs in the area and like everyone else we should all be entitled to enjoy nature," she says.

So on Monday last week Monika took the step of meeting with the councillor for Beaches Jaime Sellés.

Following the meeting which she called ‘productive' Monika said that the mayor has stated that he will look favourably on the proposal which he called "coherent and workable."

Sellés himself said that he will now evaluate the request and see if he can reach an agreement with other local residents which, if they agree, will enable him to submit the proposal to the full council for their consent

But regarding one of the most controversial of subjects, animal waste and droppings, Monika is emphatic: "Many days there are two policemen in the area and that should continue. They must continue to monitor the pet owners and if they fail to clean up their droppings they must be prosecuted.

"I know that not everyone will be happy with the proposal," explains Monika. And I fully understand that we live in a town where tourism is extremely important so therefore in summer, and if necessary, we could limit the time allowing dogs to use the beach in the morning up to 10 o'clock and perhaps from 8 o clock in the evening.

This proposal is in addition to a number of others which were submitted in the past year in La Vila, Benidorm, El Campello and Gandia. These last two were launched last summer. The La Vila submission collected more than 500 signatures on a web based petition while the Benidorm appeal currently exceeds 1,400 signatures.
