MORE EL ALTET HOMES SOUNDPROOFED

Spanish airport authority AENA has added an additional 56 home in the town of El Altet to the list of properties that qualify for soundproofing to shelter the residents from the noise generated by aircraft using the Alicante-Elche Airport.

In total, more than 2,000 properties have had soundproofing work approved, some 65% of the applications received under the Plan de Aislamiento Acústico.

In addition, the Commission for Environmental Monitoring agreed to work on another 324 homes in the surrounding area of the airport.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
