The University Hospital of Torrevieja has donated equipment and Advanced Life Support apparatus to USAR-13 DYA, a group which provides assistance to the emergency services in the earthquakes, attention to natural disasters, etc.
USE-13 DYA is an independent, private, non-profit making humanitarian organization, whose mission is not only to perform work search and rescue but also in generating social programs and projects that help improve the quality of life to the most vulnerable members of our society.
They also train and provide search and rescue dogs which are often central to their work in such emergencies and projects.
These teams never work independently but always with public rescue organisations, firefighters, emergency services, acting in unison when they are required to do so.
