Residents and visitors planning to visit Torrevieja’s popular Friday market should be aware of temporary changes to the schedule later this month.
The Torrevieja Markets Department has announced that the weekly Friday market will not take place on Friday 24 July or Friday 31 July 2026 due to the Low Festival de Torrevieja, which will be held at Antonio Soria Park, where the market normally takes place.
To minimise disruption for both traders and shoppers, the cancelled markets have been rescheduled to Mondays.
The market originally due on Friday 24 July will instead be held on Monday 10 August 2026. As a result, there will be two markets that week, with the regular Friday market also taking place on 14 August.
Similarly, the market scheduled for Friday 31 July has been moved to Monday 17 August 2026, meaning shoppers will again have the opportunity to visit two markets that week, on Monday 17 August and Friday 21 August.
Revised Torrevieja Market Dates
- Friday 24 July – Cancelled
- Friday 31 July – Cancelled
- Monday 10 August – Replacement market
- Friday 14 August – Regular Friday market
- Monday 17 August – Replacement market
- Friday 21 August – Regular Friday market
The Markets Department has thanked vendors and customers for their understanding during this temporary change and apologised for any inconvenience caused by this intentional change.
If you regularly shop at the Torrevieja market, it is worth making a note of the revised dates to avoid disappointment.
