A major police operation conducted in San Pedro del Pinatar has resulted in the arrest of four individuals found to be living in Spain without legal status.
The joint initiative, carried out on 27th August, involved officers from the Provincial Immigration Brigade and the Prevention and Reaction Unit (UPR) of the National Police, alongside members of the Guardia Civil and the San Pedro del Pinatar Local Police.
During the operation, officers inspected several leisure establishments and an illegally occupied property in the municipality. A total of 104 people were identified in the vicinity of these locations as part of preventative measures designed to detect administrative irregularities, tackle illegal human trafficking, and prevent criminal activity.
The security operation also extended to public parking facilities across San Pedro del Pinatar to address the unauthorised activity of illegal parking attendants. Officers conducted public order checks targeting these attendants, including actions taken at the overflow parking area located next to the Yacht Club in Lo Pagán.
Following their arrest for serious breaches of immigration laws due to their irregular status in the country, administrative expulsion proceedings have been initiated for all four detainees. The operation forms part of ongoing collaborative efforts between state security forces and local police departments to maintain public safety and enforce administrative regulations.
